Does an upgraded version of FP have better discussion
forums?

I've know asked about pics before;

I like the way FP forums navigate, I use FP 2000; however
I just want a '?' symbol for questions and 'new' for new
threads.

That's it... sounds so simple.

Any suggestions.

(not sure if I asked it right before)
Thank you!!

It sounds simple to you, but you don't know how to do it. Couldn't be that
simple, could it? Here's the thing: There are all kinds of "simple" things
you could add to a discussion forum. But you aren't thinking about all those
other things; you are thinking about the things YOU want. The FrontPage
developers could, if they thought enough people wanted it, create a
Discussion Forum that does all kinds of things, such as include the ability
to upload pictures with a message, email replies optionally, the
customization you've described, etc. etc. However, you'll note that I
prefaced that statement with "if they thought enough people wanted it."
That's what drives the developers: what people want. And if they created a
Discussion Forum that was as configurable as possible, it would be so
complicated to design and manage for the user that most people wouldn't be
able to use it.

The bottom line is, if you want more functionality than the "plain vanilla"
that FrontPage offers for most of its wizards, you're going to have to
either learn to program or hire a programmer. Wish I had better news for
you.

Lisa, to get the options you want you could try a free board. Most free
boards have some type of support and instructions to help you with the setup
and editing the scripts for your specific platform. You could start with the
links below and then do a more extensive search on your own:
