Has anyone ever seen this behavior - sometimes the "ewfmgr -commitanddisable
-live" takes a few seconds to execute, and other times it takes hours.
Sample test results (XPE SP2, EWF-RAM-REG, 2 GB non-removable non-fragmented
protected partition with over 500 MB free) -
Open a DOS box.
Copy about 20 MB of files onto the partition.
"ewfmgr -commitanddisable -live" - takes a couple of seconds.
Reboot.
Open a DOS box.
Copy about 50 MB of files onto same partition.
"ewfmgr -commitanddisable -live" - takes hours.
While it's taking hours to commit and disable live, I've opened a second DOS
box and run "ewfmgr D:" to try to get drive status, but it blocks until the
commit and disable in the first DOS box finishes - DLL is single-threaded I
guess.
Thanks in advance for any ideas or tips
Jack
p.s. I originally tacked this post onto the end of a previous thread about
"-commitanddisable -live" behavior". Then it occurred to me that maybe
nobody would notice it there since the original question had been answered.
Sorry for the duplication of my post.
