another error code

I'm a newbie and have an error code too. COODOFCF This has to do
w/ntuser. In C/Administrator I have a set of two icons: ntuser (w/a media
9 icon) and a notepad icon reading ntuser.dat. The media 9 icon will open
with media 9. The player comes up and a window appears with the above error
code in it. Something else; AVir gives me between 20 and 24 warning
messages each week on scheduled run. My computer is clean and AVir usually
detects nothing else. Most of the warning messages (about 80%) have to do
w/this ntuser and the AVir not being able to get into the file. Do I have a
problem here? Do I need the icons? Should I just ignore the warning
messages? Any help would be appreciated. I run XP on 2.2ghz processor, 248
ram. Also defrag does not complete leaving a very small bit of red, not
enough to register in results. I believe this might be due to the ntuser
issue. Thanks for letting me post. tia

It's best not to mix completely unrelated issues in a single newsgroup
post, especially when they belong in different newsgroups.

A careful reading would show that they are directly related. Maybe I
shouldn't have used the words "Something else". I will be leaving yet
another newsgroup as I can already tell people are more interested in giving
posting advice than answering the question. Thanks for no help. john o

NTUser.dat is not a file you should be attempting to play. It is a file for
use by the system only that you should not attempt to directly modify or
view. It is not a media file, it is simply data (.dat) stored by the
system. =)
