With this very stupid publishing, my country once more confirms
its reputation as World Leader In Crap AV Tests!

Hm, Ralf Nebelo is one of the authors for the c't. He should have done
better.

Perhaps the main problem is: which viruses are supposed to be in the
wild and meant to be tracked down by the AV scanners? Depending on the
number and assortment of samples, results might vary distinctively.

Too sad they didn't tell which viruses/worms were in the sample.

BTW: today I *was* sent a fresh sample, from the UK (of course by an
unwary dumbhead, who unzipped *his* specimen, and even entered the
password required to open the infectious file - sheesh)

I hang down my head in shame!

You shouldn't, you kidding troll (hiding behind a remailer - why?!)!

The reputation of German AV tests is saved, e.g., by Professor
Brunnstein and his staff and students at the University of Hamburg who
publish their most detailed tests (many of us will prefer the
executive summaries;-) on their web site
