Another Country Code Question

I've read all the post related to this issue, but am still unable to stop the
addition of +1 being added to the numbers being dialed. I am using Outlook
2003. Also, when you use the Check Phone Number option it shows the +1
because of the contry code. I have turned off all options related to this
so, the number dialed should be something like this 2602535, but it ends up
being dialed as +1 (334) 2602353.

Any suggestions?
 
Clarify what you did and what isn't working as you expected.
Your problem is more likely with dialing rules than with Outlook.
 
We have found this to be a problem unique to Outlook 2003, we tried it with
earlier versions and there was no issue. To work around it we added a comma
and a space before the area code, because this disrupts the (nnn) nnn-nnnn
format and the comma is a recognized character it allows us to call locally
ommiting the 1+
 
Seems an unlikely necessity since dialing rules control dialing, not the
presence of the country code.
Neither of you had posted a clear description of the problem you are having.
 
I'll try to explain my issue better. I am running Outlook 2003 and despite
what I do to the dialing rules it always puts a one in from of all fax
numbers regardless of whether I set up an area code within dialing properties
and leave the use country code unchecked. My local area code rules say "dial
area code" and under dailing options my "Automatically add country code to
local phone numbers is unchecked". My area code it 404, but despite the
rules that I set up if I try to send a fax it will transmit as +1(404)
555-5555 and because there is a +1 in front it fails.
