Another annoying problem.............Icons lost in Favorites menu. Please assist.

There was another annoying thing I forgot to mention. I enjoy the
little icons from web sites saved in my favorites menu (makes it
easier to go to a specific web site at a glance) but quickly, windows
defaults to its own "e" icon. Could you help me on this too? TIA!

Those are called "favicons". To restore your favicons, go to the following
link and scroll down to "FavOrg".

Errr...nevermind.
I tried it but the icons do not return. Will I have to revisit the web
sites and save again?

Well, some icons returned but the shortcut ones I placed in the quick
launch bar haven't.

You may have some luck creating new QL buttons.

I guess I should have been more elaborate, I also wanted the
"favicons" restored on the desktop and XP's quick launch/task bar.

If you have the shortcut in your favorites list, with the favicon, you can
r-click it and send to desktop-create shortcut. That will place it on the
DT. From there, you can drag it to the QL if you want, after deleting the
old button.
