I copied my OE wab address file onto a flash drive on the old computer (XP)
and installed in onto the new laptop (Vista). All the names appeared in the
new Windows contact list however none of the folders from the convenient
drop-down menu we used to have in Outlook Express. So I painstakingly
created folders in my Windows Contact listing and individually typed names,
addresses, phone numbers, etc. The problem is that when I try to send an
email and click on the "TO" button the listing does not reflect any of the
folders I have created. They show up when I click on the Tools button and
then on the Contacts button but that doesn't help when I'm sending an email.
Please tell me I don't have to create a bunch of new contact groups which
will entail listing contacts several times in different groups rather than
selecting contacts from different drop-downs. This has already been a
terrible waste of time -- I am very disappointed with Windows Mail vs.
Outlook Express.
