Yeah I know, like we haven't had enough of these posts already. Any how
here's my situation. I planning on building my own pc in the near future.
After reading the 9800 pro vs nonpro, I had made up my mind to buy the
nonpro and if I so desire, overclock to pro speed. However it was just
revealed that ATI has come up with an new card, the 9800xt. Like I said, I
would like to get the 9800np. However, it appears that with the exception
of bestbuy.com, most of the major online retailers such as buy.com, newegg,
googlegear (oops, I meant zipzoomfly.com), etc appear only to have the pro
version or the (inferior) se version of the 9800np. Is ATI phasing out the
nonpro version. If this is the case should I snatch one up immediately or
will the introduction of the xt line cause the pro prices to be lowered to
nonpro levels and would I be better off waiting for this price drop?
Thank you in advance for your responses.
