can you tell me if there is any freeware utility one can DL that allows
totally ANON posting.. not just the name ..but the IP address ? I don't
know anything about Proxy stuff ..and don't know how RoadRunner likes
that or even has it. Isn't there anything that can 'disguise' or
change the IP address on outgoing posts ?

All the free tools to do this are complex to use and about 1% successful at
actually posting. And if you find a so-called free proxy out there to post,
keep in mind that's probably just a honeypot to steal any passwords you use
through it.

When you need real anonymity, and are ready to spend money:

discussion of freeware only. Please stay on topic.

Yes indeedy, what with multiple layers of encryption and multiple
randomly-delayed relay sites it is possible to be anonymous. It might be a bit
tedious getting things all set up the first several times, but I do believe that
Big Brother will have a very hard time finding out who sent 'such-and-such'
email. And the software is also freeware, or enough of it for your needs is
freeware.

Your best bet will be to go to alt.privacy.anon-server and lurk for a while.
The last time I lurked over there some jerk was spamming the list (easy to do
anonymously) but the troops over there are as helpful as the folks here on
a.c.p. You should plan on lurking over there for a few weeks. It takes time to
discover what questions to ask.

If this post makes it, then do a Google search for Jack B. Nymble.
Freeware. Requires PGP (freeware) and Mixmaster (freeware). Not all groups
are carried by the mail2news servers.
