Hi I hope you can help me out. I have a GeForce4 Ti 4200
(AGP8X) graphics card in my PC. I have a 1.67 GHz
processor with 512 of Ram. The card has a video in
facility as I wish to transfer my analogue tapes from my
camcorder on to disc, and I have an adaptor (1-4
connector cable) to allow a phono type cable connection
in to the graphics card. I am running Windows XP with
Windows Movie Maker. My problem is that I can't get the
analogue signal in to the PC. It's as if the serial port
is closed stopping the signal coming in. I've checked
what I can but have come to a halt, can you please help.
Regards, Ian. (e-mail address removed)

Are you sure it's VIVO (video in and video out) capable and not just video
out? Do you have the capture software installed (it's separate from the
graphics display software)?

Analog sound is usually captured through the line in port on the soundcard.

Yea, hi. The card has video in/out on itand i have
capture software, any more info required, i'm thinking a
check box needs ticking somewhere, hope you can help.

Hi. I'm trying to carture the video from a camcorder,
i'm thinking perhaps a check box somewhere needs to be
ticked to allow the information to enter the PC, thanks,
Ian.
