Anyone know of a way to get rid of the annoying red and white warning icon
on the mouse pointer that appears when a pop up is blocked in IE6(SP2)?
It drives me nuts and as I can see something is blocked I don't need a
stupid icon added to the pointer.
Thanx

Yes I do know that BUT like I said, I know when something is blocked so I DO
NOT need a stupid little icon added to the pointer.

Okay - I decided to test it. I went into :

Internet Explorer --> Tools --> Pop-Up Blocker --> Pop-Up Blocker Settings..
Unchecked the following two boxes:

"Play a sound when a pop-up is blocked."
"Show Information Bar when a pop-up is blocked."

I then visited http://www.popuptest.com/ and tested.
- No sound notifying me of the blockage.
- No yellow bar notifying me of the blockage.
- No icon change (mouse pointer) notifying me of the blockage.
- It definitely BLOCKED most of the pop-up types.

So turning off both those options in IE seems to get rid of any and all
notifications that anything was blocked.

I tested this on three different machines that are not configured anything
alike (except that they all had Windows XP with SP2) and got the same result
each time.

Thanks again but I also know that one.
Point 1: I do not want to turn off the information bar.
Point 2: I turned off the sound that is for the pop up.
Point 3: I want the information bar but NOT that stupid warning icon(a clone
of the one that shows at the bottom of the screen when a pop up is
blocked).........
If the information bar tells me something is blocked and there is that
warning icon at the bottom of the screen at the same time there is no need
for a repeat of said icon attached to the mouse pointer.
Even with custom pointer/cursor it still happens.
What I want is not to have the thing at all.
