Hi, how do I disable the warning prompt for gmail that occurs when
sending an email without a subject? I often do not want to send
emails
with subjects, and the prompt is annoying. I think it's actually a
windows internet explorer prompt, but I'm not sure.

Gmail options ?

You find the prompt annoying.
Your recipients find email without a subject annoying?
You make the choice.

GMail would have to be your default email. I know gmail has an app for new
mail notification, but I don't know if that makes sent mail default to gmail
or not.
start/run (or create shortcut to) this command:
mailto:?Subject=.

Insert a period or type 'No Subject' in the subject field.
