annoying search redirectal

I have a problem with searching

something is writing to areas in the registry, changing the search companion
to www.searchcentrix.com . It changes about 8 different keys in the registry
by (i think just visiting the site searchcentrix.com) which it does every
time I type a URL

I think i might have 2 do a system restore

any ideas?

Sounds like possible SpyWare?

Try downloading Spybot - Search And Destroy.

Once installed do a check for updates. Then scan your system and fix all
found errors.

Download the utility CWshredder:

Unzip - close *all* instances of IE & OE, hit the executable and
follow
the prompts.

If these don't correct the problem, then get yourself a copy of
BHODemon, available at
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm .

It does not need installing - simply unzip and run the EXE program. It
is easy to use. It will find the hijackware DLL files, and give you
the ability to disable them.
