Annoying Read-Only Attribute Problem

I am running Ghost off of a server equipped with a hot swappable SCSI drive
array. Up until Friday there were three 18.6 GB drives in this server,
needing more space I added a fourth 18.6 drive. I successfully formatted the
drive and copied a bunch of files to it. However, somewhere along the line
the read-only attribute has gotten set on the drive itself.

When I attempted to push an image up to the server today, I get errors when
Ghost is trying to create the image file. I remove the Read-only attribute
(grayed and checked) on the folder, apply to sub-folders and files, and then
when I go back into the folder properties the box is checked again. I can add
files and folders on the drive locally but not over the network. NTFS and
Shared folder permissions allow the Everyone group full control (just for
good measure) and still nothing is capable of being added to any of the four
drives.

My thoughts are that I have to run through something with the SCSI setup or
that a service is somehow locking the files. How would I identify which one
of those or what another problem might be?

Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated

This is a mostly cosmetic issue, is by design, and usually doesn't cause
problems. The workaround if needed is to use the attrib command to change
the ReadOnly attribute.

The problem probably lies somewhere in the permissions. Try adding
"DOMAIN\Domain Users" or "SEVER\Users" as applicable. You could also try
adding the account Ghost is running under.
