Hello,

I'm needing some help here...

A couple of days ago, I was using my computer and everything was OK
But suddenly (I really don't know how or why) Word decided not to wor
anymore. I tried to open existing docs or to create a new one but i
was impossible. "You don't have permission to open this file" or "thi
document is blocked by another user" or something like that. And when
wanted to save a new doc, the message was nothing but one more "yo
don't have permission".

"OK, so Word is dead", I thought, because the other OFFICE XP'
programs were still working.

So I tried to reinstall Office XP but useless. Then unisntalling Offic
XP to reinstall it again. But I couldn't reinstall it this time: "yo
don't have permission to access to Temp folder, check your permissions
It said.

At the same time, more problems had appeared: Outlook Express was n
longer working, and a couple of processes were eating the whole memor
(such as OSA.exe, dumpr.exe and more).

Somebody told me that the real problem never was Office XP, but tha
user was. So I created another and it works OK now.

After the long explanation, here comes the help asking: is there an
way to fix the old user ??? I checked its permission and it is a
administrator kind. The thing is that with the new user I can't ope
all the programs that I always used with the old one. And that'
killing me. So I really want it back.

Could you give me a hand, please ??

Thank you very, very much in advance.

PS: I've tried to restore the system but it gave me no results.
PS2: I'm sorry, my english isn't very good. Hoping I did made mysel
clear..

Hi John_C,

Create a direct access to the problematic program and use 'run as'
enter the name of the corrupt user, you'll have to give the corrupt
user a password, though.
