Does anyone have any information as to how to block the
stupid Microsoft Ant-Spyware Announcements which tell us
how wonderful Microsoft has been in blocking attempts to
accees the computer? I would like to block the Microsoft
Block Announcements.

Thanks--Jan

Hi Andre :-)
Go to Options > Settings > Alerts > uncheck "Show alert if an ignored
threat has been detected and allowed to run.

The message is: "Microsoft Antispyware has blocked Internet Explorer Bar
Microsoft Shell Browser UI Library (browserui.dll) from being installed."
Sorry I didn't post it before, I had to wait to catch it again so I could
get a screen shot.

Anyway, is this Library something that should be installed? There is no
place to say Yes or No. If it should be installed, how then do I allow it?
Hmmm....we need more buttons.... <g>

I've disabled the alert, but, sorta wonder what other things may be getting
blocked then that I would not otherwise about.

This is a common issue users of MSAS experience with the blocking of Shell
Browser UI Library (browserui.dll), I have a specific answer for you on it,
because I myself had it blocked and it has not affected by system in anyway,
I will search up for some info on it. Hang tight!

I agree, these messages make it impossible to quickly
check your Email or go anywhere else until it has
finished it's cycle of pop-ups. Any idiot would get the
message after one episode. These messages are as anoying
as Bill Gates sr.s opinions on inheretance taxes.

Hi Andre :-)

Does this work the same for XP Pro? I do have the MSAS on my W2K drive,
but, this is happening on the XP Pro at this point.

Thank you for your time and additional information, I truly appreciate it.

It's still in Beta, and an early one at that. They'll get it ironed out in
the next version. :-)
