Annoying Links Folder in Favorites Toolbar

The Links Folder keeps popping up whenever I use IE. I already have my
favorite sites arranged a particular way and that folder is of no use to me,
but it keeps popping up.

Is there a way to keep it from coming back? It is really annoying,
especially if I am using more than 1 window of IE?

Change its attributes to Hidden.
Or else use it and put the Links bar up in IE.

If you have TweakUI XP you can disable this under the Explorer setting "Show
Links on Favorites menu". You can get TweakUI XP here:

I tried changing the attributes to HIDDEN, but the issue is not resolved.
That LINKS Folder keeps popping up again...

How very strange. When I make the Links folder hidden, it disappears
immediately from the list of favorites. I don't even have to close and
re-open IE. Perhaps it's dependent on the Windows version. What version
are you using?
