If the taskbar is positioned vertically at a side of the
screen, or at the top, rather than horizontally at the
bottom, then whenever MS antispyware wants to show any
kind of alert or message, the messagebox rises, faster
than anyone could possibly read, right up the screen and
off the top. A while later, it drops back - still too
fast to read.
Clearly somebody has had the "clever idea" of animating
antispyware message boxes by making them rise from the
bottom of the screen until the bottom of the box is level
with the top of the task bar, totally ignoring the fact
that this only makes sense with the task bar in one of
its four possible positions.
