and i also am getting virus warnings from mcafee that are in a directory that is not even on my hard drive. what does this mean?

Hi John,

For malware try downloading, installing and updating the
spyware removers from the links below. Run both of them.

Ad-aware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Spybot S&D
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?lang=en&page=download

As for the virus, which directory was it reported in?
If it is System Volume Information, that is a system directory holding
the restore points, you will have to turn System Restore off, perform
the scan and eliminate infectors, and then turn System Restore on.

Run an online scan at one of the following:
Trend Micro HouseCall:
http://housecall.antivirus.com/pc_housecall/

Panda Active Scan:
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/activescan/

RAV AntiVirus Online Virus Scan
http://www.ravantivirus.com/scan/

BitDefender Free Online Virus Scan
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/license.php

Good luck

thankyou for your information. i am still getting the memory errors, and i
canot stop them on certain programs
should i uninstall them and reinstall?
