Annoying emails

I do have AVG and it scans every day but how can I stop them from landing
in my inbox? Holy SH_ _ !!!! How come all these problems all of a sudden.
I have been playing around with my computer for a couple of years now and I
have never had to worry about all these damn things before?????????

Are you talking about the bogus Security Update emails produced by the
Swen worm? Either it's taken in a lot of victims, or it's unusually
prolific in sending out copies of itself. Anyway, it's not really on
topic for this newsgroup, but any lurkers who are wondering what this is
about should have a look at

Do you think that your experience is any worse than any of the rest of us?

I currently find it simpler to log on to my ISP site and check my emails
there.
I delete any purporting to be from Microsoft, Administrator, MS Security,
etc., that come with an attachment, right there, unread. No need to waste
the time downloading.

Try it until this new batch of viruses stops.
