Craigy
I've been pulling my hair out over this for three weeks and would be
grateful for any suggestions.
I'm using NTL dial-up in the UK with W2K and IE6, can connect easily
but get "cannot find server messages" usually within five minutes of
connection. NTL don't support W2K so they refuse to help. I've tried
reinstalling the TCP/IP and PPP settings, the modem, and have also
used alternate DNS server addresses so that I can ping two separate
servers. All to no avail. Often the connection will return after a few
minutes, and I get the same error message again. No viruses. I've
tried everything I can think of except reinstallation of dial-up
networking. Can anybody suggest anything before I need to resort to
this?
Thanks, Craig.
