Annoying "Boip" sound as Ads Appear

Each time I access any site which has banner type ads
which change and re-paint themselves I get an annoying
LOUD "Boyip" (for lack of a better description) sound
eacg time the ad renders itself. It can happen multiple
times while passively viewing any site and seems to be
directly correlated to the changing of a ad banner.
Doesn't seem to happen with pop-ups though. I have turned
off all other sounds in the control panel and it still
happens. Could it be related to cookies? Does anyone else
have this problem, or has anyone seen a post for a fix?

Do you have WinPatrol? I believe it can be configured to play a sound
when cookies are downloaded. charlie R

I had the same problem and it was the program "Pest
Patrol" I had installed that plays that sound when cookies
are downloaded. Just disabled it.
