I am curious. I keep hearing about "anonymous browsing" but am not sure if
it makes much sense. It seems from what I read that anonymizers just
redirect your browsing to pass through another site which then pretends to
be the ip that is actually browsing. If I am correct that intermediary
anonymizer site now has all your browsing history and could sell it or do
whatever it wishes with it.
Is there an anonymizer that is self contained and works directly on your own
PC so you are not beholden to anyone else?
