In fact, when you install Notepad, you will not even notice the disk
space decrease.

This is so much more than one could reasonably hope for in an app of
this stature.

Though I'm not very pleased about it:

- Does handle text created on other systems (Eg linux, Macintosh, ect) very
badly
- has the tendency to save as .txt files
- Limited to 32K of data in each file (not usable for HTML manuals for
example)
- It not freeware
- The ugly interface
- No syntax check or highlighting
- It is not able to use the eurosign, and some others
- http://tinyurl.com/3uaev

on the pro side:
- It is small
- It is straigth forward
- It comes in the language of your OS

Just to note, the notepad in 9x systems is limited to 32k (or 64?), but
on NT based systems, there is no file size limit that I know of. Could
be wrong on that.

As a test, using the NotePad included with WinXP home SP2, I just opened
a 6.6 Mb file with no problems.

NotePad works for me.

No limit except for available (virtual) memory I guess.
