ANN: ListApps v0.2 - List Applications

----------------------------------------------------------------
What is it?

ListApps is a program that lists all the applications that
you have in the directory Program Files. It does not search the
registry for installed applications - because some applications
are not installed by a proper installer.

ListApps treats each directory immediately below Program Files
as an application directory. Each application directory is
scanned recursively to find the largest executable. This exe file
is assumed to be the main application program. The executable's
name, together with the full path, is listed. You can save this
list to a file.

The program is good for remembering what needs to be re-installed
if you reformat your hard drive. You can also use it for your
website to show everyone what your favourite programs are.

Recent changes

Added:
* Double-clicking an item starts it up
* Loads AppList.txt on startup.

Changed:
* File > Save creates a file called AppList.txt in the
application's directory, rather than requesting a filename from
the user.

A complete changelog is available at the main site.

If you like the program, then you may want to send me a list of
the applications that ListApps produces. This output is useful
to me because I intend to compile a list of popular applications,
and post the result to alt.comp.freeware. So you wont just be
helping me, but you'll be helping the wider internet community.
Post the file, in plain text format, to (e-mail address removed).

Thanks go to FreewareWorld (http://www.all4you.dk/FreewareWorld/)
for listing my program.
