I am looking for information on how to animate objects in
Power Point presentations. Not the animate for bringing
objects into the presentation, but for allowing an object
to be animated (i.e. a waving hand).

Are these special objects? Are there any special setting
that need to be configured to allow this motion?

Thank you!

I think you might be referring to animated GIFs. They are not created in
PowerPoint. Programs like Animation Shop and GIF Construction Set are used
to create them. Think "Donald Duck" and other Disney animated
productions - - multiple frames played back rapidly, much like a flip book.

They can be used in PowerPoint 2000, 2002, and 2003. Just use Insert >
Picture > Picture as File. PowerPoint 97 does not support animated GIFs.

I've just downloaded the trial of GifConstruction - it doesn't look too
complicated...
