Animation

I know this is a repost but I can't get the page where my first post is to
open. Sorry

Is there some setting in IE or Win XP regarding Active-X or Java that is
stopping me from getting animations when I call up my site? When others
call it up they get the animations. I also get the animations if off line.
I am now running SP2 but this happened when I was running SP1. It used to
work fine. Perhaps some auto update has installed some security thing I need
to look at. Thanks.

This is the response I gave last time you posted.

See if this helps:

Why don't my animated gifs animate?

Take note of the mention of firewalls like @Guard as others like Zone
Alarm Pro and NIS may also have a disable option.

If you have trouble using that quirky we interface, then try a proper
newsreader.

Thanks I now remember reading it. I totally disabled NIS and no change. I
checked out the Java VM and mine is as in the example. I also checked
Internet Options under Advanced and under Multimedia "play animations" is
checked. Under Java only JIT compliler is checked - is that as it should be?

If NIS is the problem then I cannot help. I have no idea if a total
disable will help or not as I don't allow Symantec applications on any
machine.

I only have JIT compiler checked.
