animation won't play when downloaded to CD

When I download my presentation to CD most of the animation plays but some
does not. When I check the presentation everything is there and it runs
perfectly as stored on the computer. Any suggestions?

I'm going to use my crystal ball on this one: are you using 2007 and does
the animation disappear from SmartArt diagrams and WordArt text? When you
package for CD PowerPoint automatically 'downsaves' the file to a 97-2003
file which turns SmartArt & WordArt to pictures hence you lose animations (I
have a feeling some WordArt stuff will stay - depends on the animation
used). You can avoid this downsaving by selecting not to include the viewer
when packaging for CD. But only people with 2007 will be able to see the
file in all it's glory - anyone using previous versions or a viewer (yes,
this includes the 2007 viewer) will see what you are seeing now. If you want
to preserve animation without having to view using full 2007 version you
will need to take your SmartArt and copy-> paste special -> emf/wmf onto a
new slide, ungroup a few times & animate the individual bits - yuk!
