every software program makes some progress in any new version. And in PPT
2002 the great leap forward was the increase in animation features.
Including that fantastic trigger feature! I don't know, why you want to
cover your objects with a shape in background color, thats a workaround
using PPT 97 technology. Once you have tried using triggers and got used to
them, you'll never need to construct overlays again. You just have your
object disappear by clicking on it.
If you or Michael can read some German, I could give you a link to a sample
presentation I made recently, which also shows an example for manipulating a
chart in independent order with triggers.
