Animation Task Pane has disappeared

Between closing and opening Powerpoint 2007, the 'animation task pane'
usually found on the right of the screen has gone.

Any ideas as to how I can get it back?

I'm new to using powerpoint, I simply do not know how to 'show' or 'hide'
this pane.

As far as I know the pane has to be activated either using Animation tab on
the ribbon and clicking Custom animation button or using the keyboard
Alt-T-S, that is in the Dutch version, could be other letters in the English
one.
If I am wrong someone will jump in and put me straight.
