Hi, I have a complex animation for training purposes. Each time you click a
part of the animation appears. all this works well until you click once to
often and fall down to the next slide before you can review the full
animation. Is there a way of delaying or stopping this happening .

William

The reason for most 'over clicks' is that the presenter is not certain what
the final animation is (so they click again to check if there is anything
additional - and then they are onto the next slide...). One way to remedy is
to put a visual cue on the slide that the final animation has occurred.

Add an arrow, subtle dot or something that appears after the final
animation. This way the speaker knows to look for that element and informs
them that the next click will advance the slide.

update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the built-in functionality (to automatically
warn you before advancing to next slide) that you are looking for although
workarounds exist (such as the one suggested by Troy).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

Hey, that reminds me of another q I had for you, John.

Some way back, PPT97 or maybe before that?, PowerPoint used to cause one of the
keyboard LEDs to light up (scroll lock, wasn't it?) to indicate that it was
ready to display the next slide.

What ever happened to that?
