Animation Order Question

Dong Chen

I have a number of shapes on the slide. I want to set the animation order
at run time. It works fine if I can assign the order number like
"1,2,3,...". In my case, the number sequence isn't in that order. If the
order numbers are something like "10,7,8,5", the presentation doesn't
animate 5 first, then 7,8,10.
Any suggestions? I'm using PowerPoint 2000.
Thanks.

Try this in PowerPoint 2000...

Open the custom animation window.
Slide Show | Custom animation

Click on the 'Order & Timing' tab

Locate the items in the list in the lower left part of the dialog box.
(If there is nothing in this lower list, than place check marks in the boxes
next to the item names you want to animate. This list is in the upper left
part of the dialog box.)
If there are multiple items in the lower box, select one of them..
Click the 'up arrow' or 'down arrow' buttons (next to this list) to change
the sequence order of the animation.

Does this help?

This isn't what I try to do. I want to change the order by runing VBA codes.
Thanks.

Dong Chen,
I'm not quite sure what you want to do. Could you post the code snippet that
you are working with and we could probably provide a better solution.
