Running XP, when I run a slide show using animation on
slides (the whole page is one slide)the screen flickers
when changing between slides. This only seems to happen
when I use animation features to get in and out of the
slides and not if they are run in a show without
animation. Does anybody know any settings I can change to
stop this? I'm running a Pentium III,648mhz, 128mb ram
and Trident Video Accelerator 9525DVD, so wouldn't have
thought it is a hardware/graphics problem. Any help would
be appreciated. Thanks!!

You might try turning off that video accelerator and any Direct3D
options on the Trident card. Sometimes that can adversely affect how PPT
displays. You can also try changing hardware acceleration.
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00129.htm and updating your video
drivers.

Also, there were some issues with PPT 2002 (aka PPT XP) with Windows ME
and the Trident Cyberblade card (found in a lot of HP laptops). I
believe that was fixed with updated video drivers. Assuming that the
Trident Video Accelerator is the name of your video card, this probably
isn't the issue, but you never know...
