Animating Tables in Office 2007

In prior posts, there is an explanation of how to animate the display of the
table in pieces. It involves "ungrouping" the table and then "re-grouping"
it based on the pieces which you want to go together. My company just
upgraded us to Office 2007 and I now cannot "ungroup" tables at all. How do
I then animate a table in Office 2007?

Only way I know is to copy the table, paste special it back in as an
enhanced metafile, then ungroup (several times if necessary). Regroup where
necessary and animate at will.
