Animating levels in an org chart

PPT 2002, WinXP Pro.

I have a vaguely org chart-like diagram. I'd like to add animations to
bring in levels, and "collections" of objects at a given level, one after
the other, until the complete org chart is built.

I've tried HELP, this newsgroup, and random key presses, but still don't
really have a good leads.

Any suggestions?

Jeff

You can right-click the chart and select "Save as picture". You can then
right-click and ungroup the image and animate the individual pieces. Keep
in mind that I don't think you can go back to the org chart with this object
so it might be a good idea to make a copy of it first.

update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

If you're using the new diagramming feature in Office 2002/2003 (which
includes an Organization Chart tool), you can adjust the animation effect
for the chart to any of the following:

Group diagram...
* As one object
* All at once
* Each branch, shape by shape
* Each level, shape by shape
* Level by leve

Are you saying that these choices do not give you the effect that you are
looking for?

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
there be additional animation settings for organization charts, don't
forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).

This may work for org charts, but what do you do with one of the other
diagrams - like cycle? I'd like to bring the pieces in one at a time. I've
tried saving as pic, but it doesn't offer ungroup.

Susan, can you copy the text of the message you're replying to here? I know
I for one am missing the original post, so I can't see what exactly "this"
refers to.

Also, what version of PPT are you using?

* All at once
* Clockwise - Inward
* Clockwise - Outward

* Outward by Ring

Pyramid diagram...

Group diagram...
* As one object
* All at once
* Up
* Down

Venn Diagram...

Group diagram...
* As one object
* All at once
* Clockwise
* Counterclockwise

Target diagram...

Group diagram...
* As one object
* All at once
* Inward
* Outward
