Animated Gifs wont play after saving file

I have PPT 2007 and when I insert an animated .GIF it plays just fine until I
save the file. I have tried saving as a pptx file, and ppt show file but will
not replay after I click the save button. Any suggestions?

Reinsert them. In Picture Tools > Compress either turn off 'compress on save'
or change the target to 150 or higher. See if that helps.

Great, that worked. However, the file size is now over 20 mb. How can I make
this work so I can email it and put the file size under 6mb?

Compress all the pics manually before inserting the gif and then don't
compress again
