Animated Gifs in PowerPoint 97?

Will animated Gifs work in Powerpoint 97? I've tried inserting them as
pictures but they don't animate.

thanx but i doubt it - i dont know much about pp (the VB interface isn't
very friendly) - in fact i just came to [ask] a question, but i answered one
while i was here - only fair dont you think :o)

Well...it's good to see you here anyway And, yes, it's true that it is fair
to return the favor when one is asked, so come on and hang around a while.
This is a really great group, and you might find you know more about PPT
than you think, and if not, it is the perfect place to learn. I'm just
hoping one day I'll learn enough to be able to answer one or two easy ones.
Besides, is any VB interface ever really very friendly..? <g>

And there are some of the best VB experts in the MS program fields in this
group, who know a
lot about a lot of other MS programs besides PPT. (vbg)
