I recently received an e-mail that included an animated .gif file as an
attachment. I want to use the animated .gif as my desktop wallpaper, but I'm
not sure how to do it. Any suggestions? I'm running Windows XP Home edition
on a 1-year old Dell desktop; I use MS Outlook for my (POP) e-mail. Thanks.

One way is to use the Active Desktop. Control Panel > Display Properties >
Desktop tab > Customize Desktop button > Web tab and then click the New
button to select the gif file.

Thank you for the suggestion. It sounds like that could be a way to go, but
I was hoping to take the animated gif offline so that I don't have to be
connected to the 'Net to view it. I tried right-clicking on the image and
choosing Save picuture as, but I end up not being able to open it up again.
Is there a better way to save it to my hard drive (and retain the animation)?
