How can you animate a table in a powerpoint presentation?

which version of PowerPoint? Is it a PowerPoint table or did you insert it
from Excel or Word?

You don't have many opportunities to animate a table, but the few depend
upon the answers the two questions above.

PowerPoint doesn't give you many options to animate tables. If you inserted
a PowerPoint table, you can apply all animation features to the table as a
whole. (The sam applies to Word and Excel tables.)

If your table is not too large, you could build it using a table grid and
insert text in text shapes. Or use AutoShapes, e.g. rectangles, for single
cells or for rows and/or columns. You'll have many more options to animate
single elements then.

Kind regards,
Ute

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

Currently PowerPoint tables can only be animated as a single object. In
order to animate indivual cells/rows/columns of a table you would have to
create them using the drawing tools instead of using the table tool.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
provide more granular control over the animation of table contents, don't
forget to send your feedback to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also why it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product

suggestions).
