Hello,

I am trying to have the image of a ship go from point A to point B. That's
not a problem. I want the ship to turn around. How can I do this.

Any toughts?

Max

How well this is done and how it can be done depends of which version of
PowerPoint you are using. In 2002 or 2003 motion paths and emphasis
animations will do a nice job of going from A to B. The turn will rely on
one or more overlay pictures to "make the turn".

If you are using a prior version, it is more difficult.

Post back with the version so we can help with the details.

I am using PPT 2000.

So far, I made many copies of the ship, they appear/disappear one at a time.
Every image is slightly rotated. It gives the impression that the ship is
turning.

I was hoping there would be an easier and more elegant way of doing this.

Thanks for your help.

In 2002 & 2003 you can use the same multiple image sequence, but have them
fade in & out with small motion paths to create a rather nice effect. It
is, however, a lot of work.

No, it sounds like you are on the right track for 2000. You may want to
create an animated GIF file that runs the sequenced images, so that you
would just be inserting a single GIF image into PowerPoint instead of the
individual frames. Gif Construction Set is nice and demo is free.

If the Presentation will be shown on (or sent to a person that uses) the old
Viewer or PowerPoint 97 than an animated GIF will not animate, so plan
accordingly.
