i have installed vista ultimate x64 four times for now!
1.
First install it clean, then update all ten updates. (noticed a fix for
7900gtx users!)
reboots.
2.
fine, but only one monitor is working.
3.
installs latest x64 nvidia driver for vista.
4.
reboots.
5.
no problems so far, then randomly starts and ends some windows processes, to
look around and try to tjeck stability.
about 20 mins of use. BANG! Shock! CRASH!
6.
reboot.
7.
....
....
....
missing winstart.exe
(cant remember excact name for the .exe thinks it was "winstart.exe")
8.
running repair software...
tjecking memory..
9.
nothing detected.
reboot.
10.
fine for 20 mins.
11.
"repeat from point 6. four times."
12.
Reinstalled and hoped it was a one time problem.
----------
system.
Selfbuild, worked perfect under XP pro x64
cpu. intel E6600 2.4 ghz.
ram. Danelec 2x1024
motherboard. ASUS P5NSLI
Gfx. XFX 7900gtx
HD. WD 320 gb
it might me a driver problem with the nvida driver, i am posting in nvidia
forums as well..
or returning to XP pro x64 until Microsoft get their finger out of their
rear organs, and have things fixed!
