Hello,

When I open Excel (Office XP with Windows 98SE), I get a message that
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\Library\Analysis\analysis32.xl
could not be found." I'm not looking for it! Why do I keep getting this
message, and how can I make it go away? I seem to recall getting a message
about a different file awhile ago, and I think I had to go into the registry
to fix it, but I'm not sure what to do with this one. Thank you.

Andrea:

Within Excel, goto Tools>Add-Ins and uncheck the Analysis ToolPak. Then
Excel will stop looking for Analysis32.xll every time it loads.

However, you might want to ask yourself "Why isn't the Analysis ToolPak
where it's supposed to be?" In that case, alternate solutions would be to
reinstall Excel (and the Analysis ToolPak) or, if the file has simply been
relocated, use Tools>Addins>Browse and point Excel to the ToolPak's new
location.

Such a simple solution! Thank you. As for why it isn't where it's supposed
to be, that's because I installed it to generate random numbers and couldn't
figure out how to fill in the dialogue box for that function! I then
discovered that I could generate the random numbers with the RAND() command
and uninstalled the ToolPak. Thanks again.

Andrea
