Analogue Capture to MM2

I have a Pinnacle Stusio8 set up hardware and software but cannot persuade MM" to recognise this hardware. I only receice an icon with Pinnacle filter??? can anyone help please.

Hello therre,

The hardware you mention (Pinnacle) I assume it comes with software. When using
that software does the capture device work as expected/required?

I am not quite sure what you mean when you say....

Could you explain a bit more on that part.

Could you also give a step by step account of what happens right from when you
make the request "Capture Video" in Movie Maker.

Thanks your reply. Pinnacle works normally with studio but when trying to

use camera with MMS all i see is an icon of o camera with the caption
"Pinnacle DCxx - MJPEG - Capture Filter" then error message saying "an
unknown error has happened"
