I have a Pinnacle DC10 PCI capture card but Movie Maker doesn't seem to reconise it.
Is there any way to get the card to be reconised?

I have the same problem can anyone advise

Unfortunately I don't think so. Check out www.papajohn.org and the pinnacle
section.
The dc10 produces mjepg files at capture which cannot be used by MM2. You
should have had a copy of pinnacle studio 8/9 with the card, use this to
capture add to timeline and save to dv-avi. This can then be imported in to
MM2 for editing if you prefer it to studio.

Hi Graham,

Yes I just went and looked. Its called JPegVideo, but its not what I
thought...I have it running right now. It takes JPeg stills and creates an AVI
with what seems to be RAW bitmap data. You can control frame rate, tell it to
remember the codec, but I can't see how to set the codec, so that's a bit odd
and the AVI has the JPegs sorted by name, date created and date the JPeg was
last modified.. It is a bit slow, but it does exactly what it claims to do..

Its still running here. I will feed it into the conversion program I wrote and
see what happens...might be able to tackle the original posters problems that
way....The trouble is, I don't have the file of the original poster, but I
don't mind him/her trying out my program if it will help out.
