Analogue Capture above 648x480 ?

Is it possible to capture at a higher res than 640x480 in wmm2 using an
analogue device ?

Hi there,

The answer is yes, if the capabilities of the device permit, AND, the
device correctly informs MM2 of its capabilities. There are other
considerations of course, rate of data flow v rate of conversion to digital
being amongst the obvious. In the past I have owned three analogue capture
devices, none of them were all that good at 640 x 480 (compared to straight
DV) and there were frequent dropped frames when capturing, in fact one of
the cards cost more than my new DV camera!!!
