Hi James,

Yes I have been doing it for years! All you need is a sound card on your
computer (which all computer have nowadays). Then go to your local computer
store and ask them for a stereo connector with two RCA cable connectors one
end and one sound card connector the other.
The you connect the two RCA connectors to your Hi Fi Amp or directly to your
turn table, Then connect the other connector to your sound card (Make sure
both are turned off first!) and then turn on your computer and to go
My Computer – Control Panel – Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices – Sound Audio
Devices – Audio and then to the Volume Button, Click on that and then unclick
Line In. Turn on your speakers on the computer and then turn on your HI Fi on
and play anything (Vinyl or a tape) and you should hear something coming from
your HI Fi into your computer and then all you have to do is open a program
that records and make sure it is open to Line In and then just start
recording!! You will have to play around with the sound coming in to get the
right sound that you will be able to put to a CD-r, but it’s easy!
