Hi to all of you!

You know that when you insert a cd in your computer, windows Xp will pop up
a menu by which you can se what to do with the contents of your cd. I was
wondering if there is anyway to able or disable this funcionality.

Thanks for your help

Yes - disable AutoPlay.
Go to Windows Explorer and right click on the CD drive... Select Properties
and look at the AutoPlay tab.

If you look at the dialog when you insert a CD it says "What Do You Want To Happen?" and also has a box "Always Do Selected Action". Requiring you to go to a CD properties in not intuititive. Windows is supposed to be an intuititive interface with discoverable features. This is one of them. If you had read the dialog you would not have needed to ask the question because it would not have occured to you.

To me this seemed the obvious solution and I started by telling it:
for every type of contents
do nothing
always do selected action

Of course for me it had no effect. I insert a disk with random files it
still pops up explorer, with music it pops open WiMP, and with any disk
that has an autorun.ini file it executes the specified commands. Why
does it ignore my order to "do nothing"?! This is very frustrating!
