An unknown error has occureerd!!!!!!

I am trying to edit my video using WMM as I used to do before. But today I
keep receiving the same message "an unknown error has occurred". I can not do
anythind after that. I checked the site for any possible answer but
icoulden't find the right one that could solve my problem. Is there any help
tha I can solve this unexpected problem? I apprecciate and thank you in
advance.

Any other error messages in any other applications?
As it seems that the problem is new, and all functioned
previously, have you tried a system restore to point when
it did function?
 
Yes. I had another movie type "video clip" which i could see before using
WMPlayer 10, but now i can listen only the voice and there is no picture
(except visualisation). It says that I don't have a DivX video codec. It
seems strange to me because I could watch this movie before. May be I might
have deleted without knowing weel these codec if this is possible. NeroVision
Express keep reminding me that Mpeg-4 decoder has expired and I have to
upgrade To Nero 7 which I do not want to do for the moment. What can I do in
this case,please?
 
I downloaded and installed the DivX Codec. Now I can playback my videoclip
files but the problem with WMM editing still remains. I get again the same
error "An unknown error has occurred"! Is there any other solution about
this, please?
