webcast.

P.S. My Windsday, April 12th, 2006, Release Date for the Windows Vista
Public Preview may be correct after all (even if it turns out to be
something earlier than Beta 2, like Build 5308 CTP for example, may become a
CPP after all, which would be a complete disaster, however).

Trust me Kevin, it's not. I'm almost 100% sure that Beta 2 will NOT be ready
by April. 5308 will not be a CPP (community public preview for those who
don't know, a public release basically) because 5342 has been released to
technical testers to show a milestone for Vista. It was/is to show that
performance has been optimised to some level, and that a lot of the bugs
have been fixed. I imagine that Beta 2 will in fact be a late 5380-5340
build number, but technical testers could well expect to see another interim
release this month which may or may not be available to MSDN.

Please stop guessing dates - it doesn't help newbie's to Vista, and to be
blunt, you're just plain totally wrong :o(

Kevin, apparently you did not see my message about the April CTP Technical
testers are expected to receive in the next few weeks, I will repost in this
message again. This is from the montly Microsoft BETA Experience Newsletter:
Quote:
"Welcome to the second edition of the Beta Experience newsletter!

It is April now and the next CTP (Community Tech Preview) of Windows Vista
still a few weeks out. If you do not have access to the latest CTP (February
CTP, Build 5308) you can still download WinFX and the Windows SDK and start
developing WinFX applications on Windows XP.
------------------------------------------
Nevertheless we want to give you an idea what's coming up in terms of user
interface changes and improvements. Have a look at the videos demonstrating
present versions of Windows Vista below.

But User eXperience is not only about new features. As developers, we need
to step back and rethink what is useable and user friendly, instead of just
adding flashy effects. The Windows shell team has done a lot of background
work and I want to present you an example how we are reworking dialogs in
Windows Vista."

From the Microsoft BETA Experience monthly newsletter

----
So its impossible for them to deliver BETA 2 since April 12 is not a few
weeks a way.

Zack:
I quit posting any replies to him in the x64 group and haven't
missed him since he left. Now I know where he went. I'm waiting for the CPP
release to try Vista x64 and still won't reply to him.

I just rated your Post as "NOT USEFULL," in Windows Mail 7.0 (which is
included with Windows Vista Build 5308 CTP).

P.S. You might want to think twice before you post something like that
again.

No offence but careful Kevin, I am sure several users are using windows mail
7 and may mark your posts as "NOT USEFULL" such as your reply to Dennis
Pack. I do not see your reply to his post being usefull as well.

*sigh* this could get tedious... Can everyone stop bickering, it bores
me to death and isn't why I come to these newsgroups. If anyone wants to
mark this as "Not useful" then be my guest, I won't lose sleep over it,
but can we stop with all this bickering!!

I agree... and my assumption that everyone here can spell correctly must
have been wrong.

P.S. Notice the Event Date on the Announcement: Wednesday,
April 12th, 2006!

Can someone here ban Kevin from these newsgroups or isn't that possible
since these are public newsgroups? I mean I've only been an everyday visitor
for 4 days and I'm already tired of his ranting posts he's like a 5 year old
asking if he can have something over and over and over again.

Unfortunately no, since everyone is entitled their own opinion, I guess you
just accept this as one of the disadvantages of newsgroups, you should be
able Block Sender or use ignore conversation from the Message menu.
