An error occured while opening this file.

Hell

Recently, I had to repair my Windows XP operating system during which time looks like the earlier version of WMM was re-installed. I guess this could be the probable reason why I am now getting an error for any project that I open and the error is as follow

"An error occurred while opening this file. Either the selected file is not a Windows Movie Maker project file or the project file is corrupted

Any help please.

Go to HELP and ABOUT in Movie Maker - if it's not version 2, you need to
download and install MM2, paying special attention to this page if it does
not seem to be version 2 after install.
